Sometimes something comes along that stirs up feelings and emotions in ones heart, mind, body and soul and evokes a reaction and a response. This was indeed the case with my song ‘Recognise’, written after learning that the original indigenous first nations peoples of Australia are still not recognised in the Australian constitution.

I acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of Australia and pay respect to them, their culture, and their Elders past, present and future.
